Kevin Nolan's financial value
Just wanted to guage response's on here. Got talking in the boozer Saturday and the discussion turned to what we would get for Nolan.

So if we sold him to a team fighting relegation or a Championship side pushing promotion (the two sets of sides that I believe would get most value from him) what do you reckon we could get for him?

Fuck all

He has no value. If we wanted to get rid of him to a championship club we'd have to pay a big chunk of his wages.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
We'd be better off selling him by the pound.

The flaw in the plan is he's under a lucrative contract so he'd have to want to sign for someone else. Why would he unless they were paying ridiculous money?

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
He'll get a free. It'll be the only way to get someone to take on his wages if he demands that amount.

So now one thinks a promotion side may take a chance on him to get those extra goals to see them up?

I said I reckoned a promotion chasing side may splash £2m - £3m on him in January as a gamble to get them the important goals that could see them promoted.

Another bloke said we could get £4m and another said fuck all.

Just wondered what the thoughts on here were.

What get rid of the captain who led us out of the championship and into the champions league!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
Maybe the madmen that run Leeds or Cardiff would be willing to fork out a couple of million, but I don't think he's worth much.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
Can't see why we would want rid. Good squad player. Why is it when things are going well there are people who want to destabilise and weaken the team by getting rid of people. No need to change anything until the summer unless players want to leave.
IMO he is worth more to the team than what he would be valued anyway.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
£2m maximum but more than likely if we were moving him on which we won't the club would accept a notional fee of £500k or even let him go on a free!

That's just my opinion of course

He would have to drop down in wages

Only QPR would buy

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
not good enough to play 90 mins at this level as he doesn't offer enough BUT great option to have on the bench and come on and nick a goal.

KEEP

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
The bloke is on 60bags a week with nearly two years to run on his deal he won't get that anywhere else and zero chance of a championship club paying it
He'll be here till the end of his contract

How would it weaken the team? We haven't scored a goal when he's been on the pitch this season. We've still got £60k a week to pay him up until the end of next season, so if we have a chance to get rid and save ourselves that money and free up funds to strengthen in other areas then we should go for it.

Re: Kevin Nolan's financial value
QPR might be mug enough to put in a double bid for him and Carroll in January. Couple of mill for Nolan and 10 mill for his mate. Might work for both clubs.
